On 30 April and 01 May, two people from ‘Metterdaad’, a Christian multimedia organization from the Netherlands which is linked to one of our member organizations ICCO, visited the largest refugee camp on the border – Mae La – to talk to people in the camp and understand some of the hopes and fears they have for their future. They were able to meet and video-interview a diverse range of vulnerable families, social inclusion facilitators, community leaders and TBC staff to document a snap-shot of life in the camp. It is hoped that this will assist ICCO to raise greater awareness of the current situation for refugees from Burma with their supporters in the Netherlands, and perhaps encourage continued, or even increased, support for the TBC programme
