Saw Moo Dah Shee, 28, is a Karen with many years’ experience working and volunteering with CBOs and NGOs in Umpiem Mai camp. He is currently working as a Community Managed Targeting (CMT) manager, a job that involves supervising 23 staff from different ethnicities.

He feels that CMT is a great challenge and that his position is strengthening his leadership skills. Major challenges include the ration changes and travel restrictions for refugees.

Moo Dah Shee feels that the livelihood opportunities and self-reliance initiatives are the best opportunities for the camp population at the moment. If he does not have the opportunity to resettle to a third country, Moo Dah Shee believes he will be able to continue as a good community leader, because of his previous experiences and his time working on CMT.
